Senior Backend Developer
Design the APIs and services at the heart of payment, marketing and AI integrations. You'll own architecture decisions and set technical direction for the team.
About the role
Our back-end team builds the APIs, data models and integrations behind web platforms, mobile apps and e-commerce stacks. We connect products to payment providers like iyzico, Sipay and Checkout.com and to marketing platforms like Insider and Related Digital.
In this role you'll set up the architecture of new projects, own performance and reliability, and build the server side of LLM-powered features. Through code review you'll also help the engineers around you grow.
What you'll do
- Build scalable REST APIs and background services with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas and tune queries and indexes for performance.
- Build secure, idempotent, webhook-driven integrations with payment providers.
- Design automations with queues, scheduled jobs and event-driven workflows.
- Build services for LLM features that handle prompts, caching and cost control.
- Own CI/CD, monitoring and alerting on Google Cloud and AWS.
- Document architecture decisions and raise the team's bar through code review.
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of back-end development experience.
- You've shipped high-traffic production services with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Deep PostgreSQL knowledge: schema design, reading query plans, migrations.
- You've built payment, marketing or third-party API integrations end to end.
- Experience with Docker and at least one cloud provider (Google Cloud or AWS).
- You apply authentication, authorisation and OWASP security practices.
- You treat unit and integration tests as a natural part of the work.
Nice to have
- Services or data processing in Python
- Building products on large language model APIs
- Queues and caches such as Redis, BullMQ or Pub/Sub
- Managing infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, KVKK and GDPR requirements
